It is a pleasure to meet you.

I am Joseph Noe Pineda, a Latin American artist based in Houston, Texas. My work lives at the intersection of film photography, poetry, and painting, each medium a language through which I explore tenderness, memory, and the sacredness of everyday life.

My practice began with film photography, drawn by its slowness and precision. Shooting with a limited number of frames teaches me to pause, to observe with intention, and to fall in love with detail. I hand-develop my color and black-and-white film, finding ritual in the process, watching light, chemistry, and time transform moments into permanence.

I create fine art portraiture because I believe there is nothing more moving than the quiet beauty of people as they are. My muses are my friends; their grace, vulnerability, and presence inspire me to honor them with care and truthfulness. Each portrait becomes an archive of connection.

I am, at heart, a romantic. I carry a journal with me always, scribbling down fragments of poetry, overheard conversations, and fleeting sensations. Writing, for me, is a form of devotion. I write to understand, to remember, to celebrate the joy and ache of being alive.

Though I studied psychology, it is the world itself that continues to be my greatest teacher. I travel not just to see new places, but to be changed by them. I dream of capturing the people, textures, and rhythms of every place that calls to me, through image, through word, through silence.

To immerse myself in the culture and light of this world, alongside fellow artists, would be a gift of depth and expansion. I am forever seeking space to reflect, create, and be creatively moved, space to deepen my practice and widen my voice.
